The Machame Route — affectionately called the "Whiskey Route" for being the more challenging sibling of the easier "Coca-Cola" Marangu — is widely regarded as the most scenic path to Kilimanjaro's summit at 5,895m. This 8-day itinerary maximizes your summit success by providing optimal acclimatization, taking you through five distinct ecological zones: rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, ice cap, and the roof of Africa itself.
Welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Moshi for an adventure briefing and thorough equipment check with your lead guide.
